So I Lied ~

I forgot to post these two pictures from Sauder.  Beautiful antique paisleys.

I finished the freebie pattern that Lori Brechlin posted on Facebook.  It's only 10 1/2" by 15", but perfect in front of this small cherry cupboard (though it probably won't be staying there).

And yet another small hit and miss mat.  I'm sure I will never run out of worms.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Last of Sauder ~

Some more of the amazing rugs in the rug show at Sauder village.

The Western Reserve Rug Hooking Guild had a "Crazy 8s Challenge" for their spring hook in.  Mats had to be hooked using eight or more elements.  Here are some of them.

I tried to be good, but a few things came home with me.  I've never seen hand dyed paisley before.  It was beautiful.  I didn't think to ask, but I'm certain it is new paisley.

Rebecca Erb wools.  Light wools I love to have in my stash to over dye and a couple browns because I am lacking that color.

A little applique kit from The Sampling.

Of course I had to make a quick trip to the antique mall just around the corner from the Village.  I found this little cheese box and old drawer that will be great display pieces at upcoming shows.  I've been on the hunt for a little white insulator . . .

. . . to use to hold a pair of scissors.

I'm still working feverishly trying to get ready for the upcoming show in Holly, MI, in two weeks.  I've been working for months trying to make things and thought I had plenty of time.  HA!  It's snuck up on me like it always does.

Simply Rugs ~

So many talented hookers had rugs displayed at Sauder.  Here are a few more.  It was impossible to take pictures of all of them.  I believe they said 800 rugs were in the exhibit.

Sorry the color is so washed out

This rug is simply amazing.  Hooked from a photograph . . . words cannot describe it.  I so admire the fine cuts, but doubt I will ever hook one, but as James Bond said, "Never say never".

I'm sure you've seen this rug before either at Sauder or in Celebrations.  Isn't it just too sweet?
